Would you pay $8 a month for a blue check or blue tick?
As for me, no! Why? Because the blue check by Twitter is given to the owner to distinguish whether we are fake or genuine. So? What to do? Get rid of Twitter?
The following chart shows that Twitter currently has more than 420,000 verified accounts, which is less than 0.2 percent of its almost 240 million daily active users.
If all these users agree to pay $8 to keep their blue tick, Twitter would generate about $3.4 million or RM14.6m monthly.
